Midland Area Community Foundation, in conjunction with the Long-Term Recovery Group, will be telling the stories of neighbors helping neighbors at the next Flood Recovery Session on April 8th at 10:30 AM.
“By featuring stories of neighboring that have manifested over the last year, we are highlighting the heart and soul of our community and an essential component of flood recovery,” said Alysia Christy, Midland Area Community Foundation’s Director of Community Impact. “The acts of individuals in our community throughout the last year have been inspiring and uplifting.”
Presenters for April’s session are Angela Cole, Lisa Hall, and Chris Moultrup. Angela Cole, a community volunteer who has been active in Sanford’s recovery, will share personal stories. Lisa Hall, the Director of Midland County 911, will provide government perspective. Chris Moultrup from Three Rivers Corporation will share stories from the lens of a local business.
“We are happy to feature members of different sectors of our community to tell a well-rounded story of community collaboration,” said Christy. “Stories like these are beacons of hope as we work toward our community’s North Star of being a place where everyone thrives.”
